Finding the Car Centre is easy too, being situated in the Riverside Centre, Young Street. Simply exit the M1 at Exit 6, head toward Lisburn town centre and turn left at the second set of lights. You can't miss it.
In the spotless workshop there are two flush-fitted ramps and a two-post lift, and the place is fully kitted out with every conceivable piece of equipment needed to do any fitting job required.
The reception/showroom area is modern and comfortable, and has the obligatory example of German engineering on display, in the guise of a BMW M3. The waiting area has plenty to keep customers entertained, with TV, video, tea, coffee and a Playstation to keep kids young and old amused.
The mainstay of the Car Care Centre's business is centered on performance alloy wheels and tyre combinations, performance exhausts, suspension and brakes, and body kits. There is also a wide range of smaller accessories on offer.
The wheels come mainly from the vast range on offer by Elite. Their range of wheel designs is guaranteed to have something which will appeal to everyone, and most of their quality designs can be supplied and fitted to almost every car. The range of rubber available with the rims is equally large. From Avon, Pirelli and Bridgestone to Hankook, Falken and BF Goodrich and all other manufacturers in between, the Centre can supply any type of tyre to suit your performance needs or personal taste.
The performance exhaust range comes from Remus and Sportex, and once again can be supplied to fit almost any make of car, from Alfa to Volvo. These exhausts have been proven to return a noticeable performance increase while exceeding the strictest emission controls, come with a 24-month unlimited mileage guarantee and are fitted with a range of stylish tailpipes.
The Car Centre can also take care of the less obvious aspects of performance and handling tuning, with G & M supplying a comprehensive selection of TUV-approved lowered sport springs, suspension kits and performance shock absorbers. Encompassing most popular makes on the road today, extra-low performance kits are also available. While visually obvious only from the lowered ride height, the performance suspension on offer from the Centre improves handling, steering, acceleration and braking while reducing body roll under cornering.
Moving inside the vehicle, the Centre supplies and fits the famous Momo range of steering wheels and gear knobs. The wheel of choice for the F1 driver while at work, Momo's range comprises of wood, leather, carbon fibre and various other exotic materials. The wide range of Momo gear knobs look the part too.
The Centre is also an approved Mobil 1 and Duckhams service centre, and can provide a full service for your car using a range of top-line performance and synthetic oils and lubricants.
This may be all a bit much to take in, but suffice it to say that the Car Care Centre is definitely the one-stop-shop if you have designs on your car to make it look and drive a whole lot better, or even if you merely want a few tweaks to give it a certain air of individuality.
Obviously a full bumper-to-bumper restyling of your car, with a body kit, wheel, tyres, exhaust and the rest will set you back, but the Centre has finance terms available, arranged through the Clydesdale and Associates finance houses.
